Acquire The Fire's "Collision—Mend The Broken" tour is confronting life's collisions head on with a message of hope and restoration to this young generation. 

Collisions.

They happen all the time. It's part of our human experience. At some point we all run into something that devastates us. 

Countless people live in broken families with broken hearts. Everywhere people are used, abused, ridiculed, rejected, ignored, and abandoned. This generation is bombarded with pornography, sex, depression, cutting, suicide and helplessness. These injuries leave permanent scars—scars that you may never see.

Restoration.

Young people from coast to coast will hear that God wants to comfort, heal, and put them back together. Although the enemy continues to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus binds up the brokenhearted, proclaims freedom to the captives, and releases prisoners from the darkness. 

We'll address these collisions—pornography, same sex attraction, cutting, depression, and brokenness—and God will restore it!

We are exited to announce that we at REVOLUTION are planning on attending Acquire The Fire again this year!  God did awesome things in the lives of our teenagers last year and we cannot wait to go again this year! If you did not go with us last year, we encourage you to make this trip!!

What Is It?

Acquire The Fire is a weekend long youth retreat held at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD where thousands of teenagers from all down the east coast come for awesome worship, powerful speakers, and lots of fun!

When Is It?

Acquire The Fire will be held on May 6th (Friday) - 7th (Saturday).  We will be meeting at the church to leave on Friday at 2:00 pm (you may need to take off school early that day).  We will be returning to the church late Saturday evening.  We are using Jor-Lin to bus our group to the event and back.

Where Do We Stay?

We will be staying at the Radisson on 20 West Baltimore St., Baltimore, MD 21201

What Is The Cost?

The cost for Acquire The Fire this year is $75 (make check payable to Lifeway Church of God).  This amount covers one night stay and all three services.  This amount is due by Wednesday, April 27, 2011.  This amount does not cover food or any gifts purchased at 1st Mariner Arena (cd’s, t-shirts, etc.).  We suggest all teenagers bring at least $25 for food.
